Live in UK

The cost of living in the UK

Estimates show that you allow £7,500 (or £800 per month) if you will be living in London and £5,500 (or £600 per month) if you will be living outside London. These prices include the cost of accommodation, heating, lighting, food, clothing, books and daily travel for one person for a nine-month academic year. Housing in London can be expensive so you will need to budget carefully.

Medical care in the UK

If your course is six months or more (or a course for any length in Scotland) you will qualify for NHS treatment from the beginning of your stay. For this you must register with a GP within the first couple of weeks of arriving in the UK. The institution you attend may have a list of local surgeries. Some surgeries may have limited places so you will need to register as soon as possible.
